If you’re starting to feel a bit lacklustre about your locks, worried about the condition of your hair or just want a complete revamp for 2024 here are 5 hair tips for you to think about for the new year to boost your mood and confidence.
1.Colour
You don’t have to go all out for the rainbow look (although this is a pretty great look!) you could just go a a shade or two darker to see how you feel about it. Wash in and out hair dyes are super easy and affordable these days and with so much inspiration across the likes of Instagram don’t be surprised if you opt for unicorn lilac rather than your usual shade!

2.Change Product
I generally have really thin and flyaway hair and I used to use a particular shampoo all the time. John Frieda Frizz Ease was one of my bathroom staples (I even included it in a blog round up!) it helped stopped my hair being flyaway and helped me control it. But when my hair became limp and lifeless (which makes me look like I haven’t even washed it!) I decided to change it up with the Luxurious Volume range. The change had an instant effect and I felt instantly more confident about my hair. Just a small change made a big difference. Don’t feel like you’re obliged to stay with the same hair care product. Mix it up and see what works.
3.Accessories
There are so many things you can wear in your hair these days. Literally there are pages and pages of bows, headbands and even hair jewellery. Something like a statement head piece will really add some va va room if you’re feeling bored with your hair but don’t fancy a cut or colour. It’s a quick and easy way of upping your confidence and feeling a little special.

4.Professional Hair Treatments
If you feel that your hair confidence is doomed and you’ve tried everything going, or you have real concerns with hair thinning or loss for example, something like a FUE hair transplant may be worth considering. It might sound like a drastic move but it is the modern technique of hair restoration. There’s lots to be thought about before hand and you can chat privately with consultants before making any decisions. It’s worth considering if you feel like it would change your self confidence, it’s all about how you feel at the end of the day. Some people just need some professional help and guidance and this is a great start.
5.Love Yourself
No matter what, your hair is a part of you and no one has the right to judge you based on your appearance or make you feel bad about it. If you’re having a tough self confidence time, give yourself a little self care. A VIP bath (think candles, leave in conditioner and your fave music) and spend a bit of time looking after yourself. You might just fall in love with your hair all over again.
