Let’s all be honest, we want to get as much wear out of our outfits as possible. From how robust they are to wear and tear, to how versatile they are with the other things in your wardrobe. Whether your focus is sustainability, keeping costs down or both, it kinda makes sense to make your wardrobe work harder for you – right?
That’s where Co-ords come in. So what is a co-ord? It’s basically an outfit that is made to go together. Usually the same colour, style and pattern. It isn’t necessarily a suit, it could be shorts and a top, a jacket and a dress etc. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle with different co-ordinates. Get it? I love a co-ord because it means you can build up a capsule wardrobe and it’s SO easy to pull outfits together. This Curvissa outfit is a great example. The culottes and the top are sold individually but are the exact same colour, fabric and print. When worn together they look like a jumpsuit and I have to be honest – I bloomin love this outfit! I can pop in on and go. No messing around. Yet, I feel so pulled together and like I’ve made a real effort – when I haven’t! haha!
What’s more, not only does it make a cracking outfit together but you can easily build on these two pieces to really create a capsule wardrobe. Change the top and opt for everything from a white vest to an oversizes jumper in autumn. The top goes with anything too, from jeans to under dungarees. Tucked into midi skirts or over linen trousers. Because the print is so bold, everything else can just be really simple. Like I said, no effort required.
When you’re thinking about a co-ord, try and opt for one that’s good quality. The reason I say this is because you’re going to wear the pieces ALOT in lot’s of different ways. So you don’t want them to go out of shape or bobble before you’ve had a chance to explore their full potential! One of the reasons I love Curvissa is that the clothes really are good quality. I’ve yet to have something that falls apart or changes shape after a handful of washes.
